Shawn Wayne Brooker

Shawn Wayne Brooker, age 38, of Douglas, GA passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017, following a brief illness. Mr. Brooker was born on February 7, 1978, in Hahira, GA to Cynthia Ivadelle Flanders Brooker Edens and the late Jay Wayne Brooker. Survivors include: his mother, Cynthia Edens of Douglas, GA; brother, Jay (Ursyla) Brooker of Douglas, GA; sister, Nicole Brooker (Dee) Knight of Douglas, GA; stepsister, Nicole (Allen) Smith of Douglas, GA; grandmother, Nadavah Flanders of Adel, GA; several nieces and nephews; several uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jay Wayne Brooker; stepfather, Richard Edens; and stepbrother, Little Richard Edens. The family will receive friends Monday, February 20, 2017 from 12:30 p.m until funeral hour at Sims Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Cliff Kirkland and Rev. Floyd Musgrove officiating. Interment will follow at Refuge Church Cemetery. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
