Mozell Hensel

Mozell Hensel, age 81, of Douglas, GA passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at Oxton Place following an extended illness. Mrs. Hensel was born on June 15, 1934, in Broxton, GA to the late Roscoe Merritt and Velma Harper Merritt. Survivors include: her daughter, Debbie Lankford of Broxton, GA; sister, Mary Faye (John) Hodge of Macclenny, FL; three grandchildren, Amy Walker, Bart Swearingen, and Marie Swearingen; several great grandchildren; aunt, Tempa Knight of Broxton, GA; uncle, Clyde Harper of Broxton, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Hensel and son, Howard Swearingen. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Milton Pate officiating. Interment followed at Woodlawn Cemetery in Macclenny, FL with Rev. Frederick Raulerson officiating. Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
