Kathleen Hatfield

Kathleen Hatfield, age 82, of Pridgen, GA passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Palemon Gaskin Nursing Home in Ocilla, GA following an extended illness. Mrs. Hatfield was born on October 24, 1932, in Pridgen, GA to the late Vernie Kight and Ruby Blount Kight. Survivors include her three daughters, Kathy (Carl) Smith of Fitzgerald, GA, Michelle (Leon) Smith of Fitzgerald, GA, and Lisa Littleton of Phenix City, AL; two brothers, Vernie Kight, Jr. and Gene Kight both of Pridgen, GA; four grandchildren, Sabrina (Jeremy) Cox, Veronica (Charles) Smith, Tiffany (Brad) Newman, and Chad Smith; three great grandchildren, Chloe Smith, Griffin Cox and Nathan Cox; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleston J. Hatfield and a son, Ray Hatfield. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Pridgen Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Pridgen Baptist Church Cemetery. Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
