Hazel Joiner Potts

Hazel Joiner Potts, age 94, of Douglas, GA passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2012, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Potts was born on June 12, 1920, in Ocilla, GA to the late Homer Johnson and Annie Belle Hardin Johnson. Survivors include: her two sons, Al (Teresa) Joiner of Douglas, GA and Gree (Jupie) Joiner of Dalton, GA; four grandchildren, Dixie Joiner Steadham, Drew Joiner Smith, Kathy Joiner, and Kelly Joiner Rossen; and six great grandchildren, Carlee Steadham, Abree Smith, Ansley Powell, Kevin Powell, Luke Wagner, and Landon Wagner. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2014 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm.
Graveside Service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Douglas City Cemetery with Rev. Shep Johnson officiating. Active Pallbearers were: Johnny Morris, Luke Morgan, Howard Kennedy, John Parker, Peter Peterman, and Cam Patterson. Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
