Edna McGee

Edna McGee, age 83, of Glenwood, GA passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. McGee was born on August 14, 1931, in Broxton, GA to the late Buster Johnson and Vermell Cato Johnson. Survivors include: her son, Bobby (Margaret) McGee of Glenwood, GA; daughter, Brenda (Fred) Hall of McDonough, GA; four brothers, Edward Johnson of Douglas, GA, Robert Johnson of Nicholls, GA, Huey Johnson of Glenville, GA, and Riley Johnson of Douglas, GA; eleven grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy S. McGee and Talmadge Lewis; daughter, Tina Lane; grandaughter, Debra Fowler; and three brothers, Albert Johnson, Johnny Johnson, and Dewey Johnson. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Interment will follow at Cumorah Cemetery. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
