Denise Ott Hersey

Denise Ott Hersey, age 54, of Douglas, GA passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Hersey was born on March 21, 1962, in Waycross, GA to the late John Marion Ott and Mildred Virginia Elrod Ott. Survivors include: her daughter, Celeste Nicole Hersey (John W.) Gardner of Douglas, GA; son, Nicholas Hersey of Douglas, GA; two sisters, Linda (Fred) Barrs of Douglas, GA and Gail Anderson of St. Augustine, FL; three brothers, Jimmy (Peggy) Ott of Broxton, GA, Terry (Sandy) Ott of Douglas, GA, and Ronnie Ott of Tallahassee, FL; grandchild, Sage Gardner; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many adopted children. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. George Stacey officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery. Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
