Colleen Hester

Colleen Hester, age 63, of Murrayville, GA passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Hester was born on May 15, 1952, in Douglas, GA to the late Amon Griffin and Lucy Mae Troupe Griffin. Survivors include: her two daughters, Andrea (Paige) Roper of Murrayville, GA and Angela (Robbie) Peacock of Douglas, GA; two brothers, James Griffin of Douglas, GA and Randy Griffin of West Green, GA; eleven grandchildren, Josh Peacock, Skyler Jones, Lilly Herrington, Kason Herrington, Colby Peacock, Brydjette Peacock, Tyler Chaney, Tristan Chaney, Blake Chaney, Savannah Price and Riley Roper; two great grandchildren, Damieyen Peacock and Brooklyn Herrington; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Freeman Hester; and her siblings, Amon Griffin, Jr., George Griffin, Jennell Davis and Shirley Graham. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 4:30 to 9:00 p.m at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
