Annie Faye Barfield

Annie Faye Barfield, age 78, of Douglas, GA passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Barfield was born on July 7, 1936, in Hiawassee, GA to the late Lazarus Boss Garrett and Sophia Pauline Ledford Garrett.
Survivors include: her daughter, Melinda Faye Hulett of Broxton, GA; son, Joey Allen Barfield of Douglas, GA; two sisters, Magnus Hamby and Dallas Walls both of Blairsville, GA; seven grandchildren, Shawna (Al) Martinez of Douglas, GA, David (Cheryl) Hulett of Dublin, GA, Meridith (Quiness) Carver, Joey Barfield, Jr., Christopher (Tracy) Barfield, Brandon Barfield, and Summer Barfield all of Douglas, GA; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Skyla Hulett and three brothers, DL Garrett, Walter Garrett, and Devea Garrett
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Douglas City Cemetery with Rev. Marvin Holladay officiating. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
