Agnes Solomon

Agnes Solomon, age 81, of Douglas, GA passed away on Friday, August 15, 2014, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Solomon was born on June 6, 1933, in Ocilla, GA to the late Lester Chaney and Dolcie Ann Julie Mae Harper Chaney.
Survivors include: her husband, James Solomon of Douglas, GA; daughter, Brenda (Donnie) Anderson of Douglas, GA; son, Larry (Pam) Solomon of Douglas, GA; five grandchildren, Ryan (Megan) Solomon, Tyler Solomon, Dan (Suzanne) Wise, Cody (Jennifer) Wise, and Gavin Solomon, five great grandchildren, sister, Betty Chaney Lott of Brunswick, GA, sister-in-law, Olita Chaney of Nashville, GA; two devoted caregivers, Nichole Rigsby and Mary Grady; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Lamon Chaney.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Lonnie Spikes and Rev. Toby Gale officiating. Interment will follow at the Franklin Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery. Music is furnished for the service by Danny Chaney "I Believe" and "What I Know About Heaven", Jeff Hodge "Ship Of Zion", and Congregation "Amazing Grace" with Terry Giddens playing the piano. Active Pallbearers are: Jeffery Solomon, Ronnie Solomon, Jason Solomon, Tony Solomon, Joe White, and Tim White. Honorary Pallbearers are: Justin White, Dustin Justice, Ferrell Burke, Mary Grady, Nichole Rigsby, Amanda Loffen, Daryl Griffin, Bruce White, Ashley Griffin, Raburn Harper, Gerald Faulkner, Talmadge Paul, Rev. Tommy Green, Vinnin Harper, Alton Carver, and Emory Smith. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
