Ada Mae Harper

Mrs. Ada Mae Harper, age 88, of Douglas,GA passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014, at her home after an extended illness. Mrs. Harper was born December 04, 1925 to the late Dewey Chaney and Lucinda Goff Chaney. Mrs. Harper was preceded in death by her husband, Allen "Buddy" Harper, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter: Jane (Paul) Gillis of Douglas, GA; and her son: Jerry Allen (Thada) Harper of Douglas, GA Sister: Nell Wooten of Wray, GA; Brother: Dewey Chaney of Hortense, GA; Three grandchildren: Allen "Buster" Harper of Douglas, GA; Alex Harper of Tifton, GA and Jason Gillis of Douglas, GA; Four great grandchildren: Tymer Gillis of Douglas, GA; Laine Harper of Tifton, GA; Eva Gillis of Douglas, GA and June Harper of Tifton, GA; several nieces and nephews.

The Harper Family will be receiving friends on Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 6 to 9 PM at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home. Rev. Chip Woodruff and Rev. Barry Peavy will be officiating. Music will be furnished by Becky and Billy Musgrove, Interment will follow in the Douglas City Cemetery.
